Rooftop Lounge at The Bobby

The rooftop bar on the 10th floor of the Bobby Hotel has a 1956 Scenic Cruiser Bus on it that has been converted into a bar seating area. The bus was split in half, and a section added to make it wide enough to accommodate patrons who can look out onto the Nashville skyline. There are panels on the side and back of the bus that raise up on hydraulic arms to allow the bus to open up onto the outside seating areas, the bar, and the adjacent pool. The structure of the 45-year old building had to be strengthened to support these unusual amenities.
