The 440,000 square foot site at the entrance to the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel features a 10,000 square foot resort pool with specialty water park slides, zip lines, basketball, and toddler pools. The main pool integrates with horseshoe-shaped heated spas and a 600-foot winding lazy river and beach front area. The 1,500 square foot “pump room” contains the pumps, filters, heaters, and feeders to continuously condition over 350,000 gallons of water. The amenity features a main building to house a 5,000 square foot full-service kitchen and outdoor open bar. The hotel guests have access to private changing rooms, lockers, showers, restrooms, and pool side cabanas. The native Texas motif of natural stone columns, walls, and “Oklahoma” boulders with Western rough sawn cedar structures, spilt rail fences, outdoor fire pits, shuffleboard, bocce, and washer games wrapped with various landscape plants and trees sets the complex up for a truly “Old West” resort experience.
